Cube utilization is loading a truck or other transportation vehicle with merchandise in order to fill as much of the horizontal and vertical space as possible, also known as the cubic capacity. This process takes advantage of the cubic measurement in order to maximize the use of a truck or container and save on total truckload freight rates.
