The purchasing manager is usually in charge of purchasing whatever the company needs, from regular office supplies, to the materials which would be used to manufacture the company’s products. In addition, the purchasing manager is responsible for pricenegotiating, inventory control, planning, and factory control. In larger companies, the purchasing manager’s role would play more as a supervisory role and have other purchasing team members place the orders.
