SCM refers to the analysis of and the effort to improve a company's processes for product and service design, purchasing, invoicing, inventory management, distribution, customer satisfaction and other elements of the supply chain. The typical method of SCM is usually as follows: from the supplier, to the manufacturer, to the wholesaler, to the retailer, and lastly to the consumer for purchase.
