A shipper reference is what is used to track a package during shipment. This reference is an identifier determined during the shipping process. It could be a purchase order (PO) number, a customer number, a company name, a Bill of Lading number, or a particular phrase that identifies that shipment. This reference can be any combination of numbers and letters up to 35 characters long.
