An arrival notice is a notice of an estimated arrival date and location sent by the delivering carrier to the receiving party. The arrival notice would also indicate the estimated time the cargo would be available for customs clearance, pickup, or comparable handling unit. In addition, the arrival notice would state when free time would expire and charges that must be paid prior to release of the cargo by the carrier.
